
Oklahoma State

program that provides a humane and compliant environment for all
animals involved with research, teaching, research training, and
testing. Every effort is made to follow all federal, state, and local
laws and regulations that govern the care and use of animals in these
manners. Specific guidance can be found in the
Animal Welfare Act,
the
Public Health Services Act, the
Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, and the
Guide for the Care and Use of Agricultural Animals in Agricultural
Research and Teaching.
This web site is
provided by the Office of University Research Compliance to assist
those involved with animal research meet the basic requirements
necessary to be in compliance and help you through the processes
required to meet those obligations.
All animal
research, teaching, research training, and testing must be approved by
the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). Information
provided on this site is designed to help you gain that approval.
